Group house in the Odenwald
Our group house is in Kortelshütte, the southernmost village in the Odenwald district, in the heart of the Bergstraße-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park. Here, being together comes first. You cook together, eat at one long table and enjoy good times with each other, from the grandparents to the youngest. We always rent out the whole house to one group of up to 20 people, so you have it to yourselves.
Who the house is for
Family reunions across several generations. Grandparents, parents and children under one roof, each family with its own room and usually its own bathroom. Everyone cooks together in the big kitchen, eats at one table and gets together in the evening.
Groups of friends and several families with children. The children play football at the edge of the forest or table football in the common room, while the adults sit on the balcony and look out over the forest.
Senior groups. A quiet location, plenty of room to sit together and time to talk. Smaller groups are welcome too, also with single rooms.
Companies. For team building, a brainstorming day or a few days of planning away from the office. You can book the seminar room as an extra, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
Space and comfort for up to 20 people
10 double rooms and 8 bathrooms, so almost every room has its own bathroom. On the upper floor there is a very large dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, where the whole group cooks and eats together. There are also several lounges for playing, talking or reading. The balcony runs along the full width of the house, and every room looks out onto the forest.
Seminar room
The seminar room can be booked as an extra. About 20 people work comfortably at two long tables. For a talk with rows of chairs, up to 40 people fit in, although it gets tight. There is a whiteboard and a flipchart, plus a small kitchenette of its own for coffee and breaks. A glass door leads straight out onto a terrace with a fire pit and a view of the forest. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

Leisure at the house and nearby
The common room has table football and a table tennis table. You can use the sauna by arrangement. There is a football pitch at the edge of the forest, and hiking trails start right at the door. Kortelshütte lies in a sheltered valley on the Hirschhorner Höhe, and the Neckar valley with Hirschhorn is just a few minutes away.
Run with care for the environment
Health and the environment matter to us. We generate part of our electricity ourselves with the solar panels on the roof. The kitchen uses ceramic tableware instead of single-use plastic. We clean the rooms with water-filter vacuum cleaners, which is also good for people with dust allergies. Bathrooms, showers and toilets are steam-cleaned so that we use as few chemicals as possible.
Location and getting here
The house is at Hasensprung 27, 64760 Oberzent-Kortelshütte. By car or on-demand bus it takes 6 minutes to Hirschhorn on the Neckar. From there the S-Bahn train takes 25 minutes to Heidelberg. By car you reach the motorway near Heidelberg in about 35 minutes. Free parking is available right at the house.
